The method involves covering an upper side of a steel cover plate with a prefabricated concrete deck. The concrete deck is adjusted in the vertical direction with respect to the steel bridge deck. An open space is filled between the upper side of the plate and the underside of the concrete deck with a filling agent e.g. polyurethane. A series of bridge improving concrete elements (1) are placed one behind the other on the plate. The neighboring concrete elements are sealed with respect to one another. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a bridge provided with a bridge deck construction (2) a concrete element for a bridge (3) a set of sub series for use with the bridge improving method.
