PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the leakage/alteration of information in a portable storage device and the unauthorized use of the portable storage device. SOLUTION: When the portable storage device 120 is connected to an information processing terminal 110, and processing using information in the portable storage device 120 is performed, authentication such as personal authentication, device authentication, software authentication and secondary personal authentication for the portable storage device 120 is conducted in an authentication server 130, and when the validity of the portable storage device 120 and the user thereof is authenticated, the processing state of the processing part of the information processing terminal 110 is switched from an internal processing state to an external processing state for performing processing while using various software and data on the portable storage device 120. In this case, the portable storage device 120 acquires the biological data value of the user before or when it is connected to the information processing terminal 110 by using a secondary battery as a power source.
