<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shell-shaped roller bearing which prevents the coming-off of a retainer and roller from an outer ring and the outflow of a grease inside the bearing to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: In a shell-shaped roller bearing which keeps a retainer 3 having a pocket 4 for holding a needle roller 5 built in an outer ring 2 including a flange part 6 bent substnatially perpendicular to an outer ring raceway surface 2a in one end and a flange part 7 bent inward so as to be substantially parallel to the outer ring raceway surface 2a in the other end, an annular protrusion 10 for a stopper which protrudes outward on the whole outer periphery is provided in a position near the pocket on the outer periphery of the retainer 3. In response to the built-in state of the retainer 3 to the outer ring 2, an end surface 3a of the retainer 3 is abutted to a part of the flange part 6 at one end. An annular protrusion 11 for a stopper is interposed between the needle roller 5 and an end surface 7a of the flange 7 at the other end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
