<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent confidential data from leaking from an information terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: The information terminal device has a first function of selectively displaying standard data and displaying the contents thereof when the standard data is selected, and a second function of selectively displaying confidential data and displaying the contents thereof when the confidential data is selected. The first function is started by selection from a selecting menu, but the second function is not displayed in the selection menu and is started only when an operation section of the information terminal device is operated in a predetermined series of order. While the operation section is operated in the series of order, the screen following the operation is not displayed. Thus, the presence of the confidential data is not noticed by a third party, so that the inside of the information terminal device is analyzed and the exposure of the confidential data can be avoided.
