An upholstered furniture item contains an air-penetrable cover of soft fabric comprising the upper part, the lower part and middle part connecting thereof, filled with a movable material consisting ofparticles, means to limit changes in the initial shape of the item of upholstered furniture including elastic flexible tightened elements which are fixed to the cover and connect different points thereof. The means to limit changes in the initial shape of the upholstered furniture item include at least one hollow cylinder made of a resilient material. The cover of soft fabric is fully filled with movable material. For example, cellular foamed polystyrene or the other soft-resilient material shaped as an ellipsoid or a ball is used as movable material. The lower part of the cover is made of the material which is subjected to resilient stretching and is provided with a fastener, for example, as a zip.
