PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device for a vehicle which can be arranged so as to be comfortable when being fully flattened while securing holdability during traveling. SOLUTION: Since a seat back 16 is projected in an erected state compared to a backrest part in which a side support part on the side of a backrest surface 17 becomes a center part, the holdability during traveling is secured. In back reclining of flatly continuing the seat back 16 with a seat cushion 12 (when the seat is fully flattened), since a displacement mechanism part 40 displaces the backrest part in the direction of eliminating a level difference from the side support part, the seat is arranged such that a passenger can easily relax when lying down on the seat.
