PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition excellent in all of fuel consumption, fatigue resistance and operation stability, and a pneumatic tire by using the same. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is provided by blending 35 to 60 pts.wt. total of carbon black and inorganic filler with 100 pts.wt. rubber component consisting of 35 to 53 pts.wt. natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber, 45 to 63 pts.wt. polybutadiene rubber, and also≥2 and <10 pts.wt. styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having 15 to 35 wt.% styrene content and 30 to 75% amount of vinyl bonding of the butadiene.
