<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor hologram recording material that can display three or more colors such as R, G, B and intermediate colors and shows a white appearance by combining a volume hologram recorded at two wavelengths with color tuning. <P>SOLUTION: The multicolor hologram recording material comprises multiple recording of volume holograms 63' that diffract light of at least two different wavelengths λ<SB>B</SB>, λ<SB>G</SB>; wherein a color tuning film 71 is used, the film containing a penetrating monomer or oligomer that is diffusible from the film surface to the outside, with the penetrating monomer or oligomer deactivated in accordance with a given deactivation pattern, so that a portion (b) in the volume hologram 63' corresponding to the outside of the deactivation pattern is swollen by the penetrating monomer or oligomer diffused from the color tuning film 71 to produce dots that diffract light at wavelengths λ<SB>G'</SB>and λ<SB>R</SB>different from a portion corresponding to the deactivation pattern (a). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
