A mobile communication system in which a plurality of services in each of an Internet Protocol (IP) core network and a mobile communication network are provided for a mobile terminal. A switching centre server is arranged to convert a signal protocol from the mobile terminal to a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) of the IP network, preferably an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. The switching centre may be a Mobile Switching Centre - Inter Working Function (MSC-IWF) 2. In particular, a SIP sequence adds a response signal (a13 fig.2) for mapping a signal protocol of a service in the mobile communication network and an SIP signal of the IMS network. The response signal (a13 fig.2) changes the sending timing of a Call Proceeding signal (a14 fig.2) from the MSC-IWF 2 to the mobile terminal. |
