A reservation recording method using EPG(Electrical Program Guide) and its system are provided to perform reservation recording of a favorite broadcasting program of a next broadcasting time so that a user can continuously watch a favorite broadcasting program by automatically performing reservation recording. A reservation recording method using EPG(Electrical Program Guide) comprises the following steps of: storing EPC information transmitted from a broadcasting station; searching next broadcasting time corresponding to the current watching favorite broadcasting program by reading the stored EPG information when EPG reservation recording signals are provided from the input unit and automatically selecting reservation recording; and selectively recording an MPEG-decoded favorite broadcasting program only when a favorite broadcasting program is not outputted through the output unit.
