PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide mechanism for a lens barrier having simple constitution and easily miniaturized without making the constitution appear to the outside, and a camera equipped with the slide mechanism. SOLUTION: The slide mechanism for the lens barrier for shielding a photographic lens which condenses light to form an image from the outside is equipped with: a plurality of cam grooves formed on a surface on a side opposed to the main body of an imaging apparatus on which the lens barrier is mounted out of the surfaces of the lens barrier, and having orbits nearly parallel with each other; and a plurality of engaging members provided in the main body of the imaging apparatus, coming into contact with the bottom parts of the plurality of cam grooves at least at three spots as a whole and guiding the slide direction of the lens barrier.
