The bushing has a wall unit (3) separating cavities (1, 2) from each other, and a bushing opening (5) sealed by a gel (4) for a cable (6) e.g. electrical cable, where the gel adheres to gel carrier units (7, 8) and is formed in a form of gel cushion. One of the gel carrier units is fastened to the wall unit in a pivotable manner. One of the gel carrier units forming a reversible cable opening, which is to be opened and closed, is adjusted at the wall unit. A hinge unit (9) is arranged between the gel carrier units and the wall unit, and a sealing unit is arranged at the gel carrier units.
