A poor cell management system for a fuel cell stack is provided to prevent life reduction of a fuel cell stack caused by a defective unit cell and to supply desired electric power to a load stably. A poor cell management system for a fuel cell stack includes a unit that is joined to a fuel cell stack(10) in which many unit cells(10a-g) are electrically connected in series with one another, separates a defective unit cell from the many unit cells, and connects a spare unit cell to the many unit cells in series. The unit comprises a first switching unit for short-circuiting an anode and a cathode of the defective unit cell, or/and a second switching unit for measuring voltage generated from at least one unit cell. |
