<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more precisely obtain a beam angle to be set to a sound beam of a multi-channel audio signal to be outputted to a speaker array apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The speaker array apparatus is provided with: beam formation parts 111 to 115 for inputting a signal of each channel of multi-channel audio signal to generate each sound beam directed towards a beam angle set every channel; adders 121 to 12n for composing them; a speaker array 13; a beam control processing part 142 for outputting test sound beams from the beam formation part 111 at every prescribed beam angle; and two microphone sets 2 installed back and forth. A sound pickup signal of the test sound beam is obtained every beam angle. Front and behind of an arrival direction of the test sound is determined by obtaining a cross-correlation function between two sound pickup signals by the two microphones and a beam angle of the sound beam of each channel is set according to a plurality of peaks of correlation functions and the arrival direction of the test sound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
