PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for an alkaline storage battery, capable of preventing an active material from falling off while easily filling a large amount of active materials in the hole of a forming type three-dimensional porous body. SOLUTION: This positive electrode for the alkaline storage battery has the foaming type three-dimensional porous body as a conductive support, and the ratio of the number of triple points in an unit area in a vertical cross-section to the number of triple points in an unit area in a horizontal cross-section is set to 3.0-6.0.
