PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile device in which authentication processing for facsimile transmission is achieved by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: The facsimile device comprises a section 20 for storing an authentication table 12a in which the user of the facsimile device is associated with an authentication person having authority of authenticating facsimile transmission by the user; an input section 21 for acquiring user identifier of the user, a document to be transmitted, and destination information from the user; a section 22 for specifying the authentication person corresponding to the user identifier acquired at the input section 21 with reference to the authentication table 12a, and acquiring authentication for facsimile transmission by a user indicated by the user identifier from a specified authentication person, and a section 23 for transmitting the document of facsimile transmission corresponding to the authentication thus acquired to a destination indicated by the destination information.
