PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens-protecting device using a shape memory member, which will not consume power for the purpose of driving. SOLUTION: When a cellular phone with a camera is set to a camera mode, the heat is generated from electronic components related to a camera function mounted on a ceramic substrate. The shape memory member 57 that has received the heat is shrunk, when it reaches the temperature showing the transformation temperature abnormality, whereby a lens barrier 54 is moved to open position. When the camera mode is turned off, since the heat is no longer generated from the electronic components, the shape memory member 57 is cooled naturally, and the lens barrier 54 is moved to a closed position by a spring 56.
