PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partially untoothed gear hardly breaking (hardly damaging) a meshing starting part. SOLUTION: This partially untoothed gear has: a tooth part 21 meshing with a driving gear 10; and an untoothed part 22, and a slit 24 is arranged inside the meshing starting part 23 of the tooth part 21. A dedendum part 25 of the meshing starting part 23 is extended in the peripheral direction, and the tip 26a of this extension part 26 is integrally connected to its opposed part (a meshing finishing part of the tooth part), and the slip 24 is formed in a closed loop shape, to regulate deflection of the meshing starting part 23.
