<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write multi-color characters and pictures in a visible manner in an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk is provided with a graphic writing layer 104 for writing visible graphics in addition to a data recording layer 102 for recording data. Recording of user data in the data recording layer and writing of the visible graphics in the graphic writing layer are performed by using one optical disk drive. As one example, the graphic writing layer has a structure of phase-change films 207-209 with a plurality of layers, is formed in an area between a pair of reflection layers 213, 218 via protection layers 213-217. It becomes possible to visibly recognize multi-color graphics by writing pieces of graphic data subjected to color separation by every fundamental color to the plurality of phase-change films, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
