A battery pack having an embossed portion at the bottom of a bare cell is provided to allow easy and accurate positioning of a safety device or connection member on the bottom of the bare cell, and to facilitate welding upon connecting the bare cell with the safety device or connection member. A battery pack includes a bare cell(100) received in a metal casing, a safety device(400) or connection electrically connected to the bottom(120) of the bare cell, and a pack casing for housing the bare cell, wherein a connection portion(metal connection portion) made of a metal is formed on the bottom of the bare cell in an embossed pattern(210) to facilitate electric connection, and the safety device or connection member has another embossed portion corresponding to the patterned embossed portion.
