PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas compressor having an oil separator efficiently separating lubricating oil from refrigerant gas within a limited space in a discharge chamber without accumulating the lubricating oil therein. SOLUTION: The gas compressor 10 includes: a compressor body 12 discharging compressed gas, in which the lubricating oil is mixed, into the discharge chamber 29; and the oil separator 50 separating the lubricating oil from the compressed gas. The oil separator 50 has the oil separating filter 52 made of a tubular net member, and a holding member 51 holding the oil separating filter 52 and attached to a wall part facing the discharge chamber 29 of the compressor body 12. The holding member 51 is provided with a holding hole 57 communicating with the discharge chamber 29 through an open window 59, and a discharged gas guide passage 60 guiding the compressed gas from the compressor body 12 to the holding hole 57. A cover part 53 is attached to close the open end 57c of the holding hole 57 with the oil separating filter 52 housed, and is provided with at least one through hole 62 connecting the holding hole 57 with the discharge chamber 29.
