PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which operates stably with a uniform light-emitting characteristics even at the time of high density and has superior lifetime characteristics. SOLUTION: This is a manufacturing method of an organic electroluminescent element which is equipped with a set of electrodes and a plurality of functional layers that are formed between the electrodes and include a layer having a light-emitting function consisting of at least one kind of organic semiconductor. The functional layer contains an inorganic oxide layer and a process of forming the layer having the light-emitting function comprises a process of film-forming by a printing method on the inorganic oxide layer.
