PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire more securely suppressing groove cracks. SOLUTION: A zigzag main groove 21 is formed on a tread face 11, and recessed parts 30 are provided in positions nearer to a groove bottom 26 of mountain parts 25 of groove walls 23 of the zigzag main groove 21. Due to this structure, even when load is applied to the tread face 11 and stress is generated in the vicinity of boundary portions between the mountain parts 25 and the groove bottom 26, since the recessed parts 30 are deformed, stress concentration is alleviated. Cracks generated in the vicinity of the boundary portions between the mountain parts 25 and the groove bottom 26 are thereby suppressed, and cracks generated on the main groove 21, or groove cracks are suppressed.
