A separator for a fuel cell is provided to facilitate discharge of products resulting from electrochemical reactions in the fuel cell and to make it easy to supply an oxidant and fuel to the fuel cell, thereby improving the quality of the fuel cell. A separator(10) for a fuel cell comprises: a main body(20) having flow channels(40); and a hydrophilic surface-treated layer(50) formed on the flow channels of the main body, wherein the hydrophilic surface-treated layer has a contact angle of 30 degree or less. The hydrophilic surface-treated layer has a hydrophilic functional group containing an element selected from the group consisting of oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur and a combination thereof.
