CONTROL METHOD OF AIR CONDITIONER

A method for controlling an air conditioner is provided to make balance between discharge pressure and suction pressure in a second compressor in an initiation delay time range thereof, thereby preventing failure of initiation of the second compressor caused by a pressure difference and realizing immediate initiation of the second compressor. A method for controlling an air conditioner includes the steps of initiating a first compressor among a plurality of compressors(S1), and determining whether initiation conditions for a second compressor are satisfied with or not during the operation of the first compressor(S2). If yes, pressure is decreased at a discharge part or increased at a suction part within an initiation delay time range in the second compressor(S3-S6). After the initiation delay time, the second compressor is initiated(S7,S8).
