<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report a guidance sentence more exact and easy-to-understand for a user at a guidance point, in a voice guidance apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The voice guidance apparatus comprises a guidance sentence preparing section for preparing one or more guidance sentences of a guidance point using map information, a selection history management section storing history information at the guidance point that has been guided, a location information retention degree guessing section storing user-specific retention degree information for determining the awareness of the user related to the guidance point, a reporting order assigning section for assigning the priority of reporting to the prepared guidance sentence using the history information and retention degree information, a reporting operation management section for selecting the guidance sentence of the highest priority, an output section, and an input section for recognizing a user's response. When the output section reports a first guidance sentence and then there is a response of displeasure with the first guidance sentence from the input section, the voice guidance apparatus selects a second guidance sentence of the next lower priority with the reporting order assigning section and reports the second guidance sentence by voice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
