<p>It is intended to provide a method of detecting a nucleic acid wherein no restriction is imposed on the design of nucleic acid probe base sequences. By repeating multistage washing and detecting, the precision in sequence-specific hybridization is elevated stepwise. Thus, it becomes possible to ease restrictions in designing nucleic acid probes, in particular, restrictions on Tm (the duplex-to-single strand melting temperature of a duplex nucleic acid) and nucleic acid probe sequence length.</p> |
