PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for intake and exhaust of an engine which can secure good wear resistance and seizure resistance even if incorporated in the engine in which a fuel is used as a lubricating oil. SOLUTION: This valve 1 is a valve for intake and exhaust incorporated in the engine in which a light oil serving as a fuel is used as a lubricating oil. The valve 1 is so formed that the inside of the valve stem 2 is hollow. The hollow part forms an oil path 3. An inlet 5 to the oil path 3 is open, in a funnel shape, to the valve stem end 4. A supply hole 6 allowing the inside and the outside of the valve stem 2 to communicate with each other and supplying the lubricating oil in the oil path 3 to the sliding part of the valve 1 is formed in the valve stem 2.
