MOTION ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VIDEO

A method and an apparatus for motion activity description of a video are provided to describe and utilize motion activity of the video through statistical characteristics of an intensity and direction of motion parameters in the video. A method for motion activity description of a video comprises: extracting a motion parameter from the video(S1100); extracting statistical characteristics of an intensity of the motion parameter extracted in the above step(S2100); and extracting statistical characteristics of a direction of the motion parameter(S3100). The second step is a step for extracting space statistical characteristic values of each video. The third step is a step for extracting space statistical characteristic values of each video.
