PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the armature of an rotary electric machine in which a space factor of winding is improved, the winding is processed more quickly by reducing the number of times of wire connection with a commutator, and the number of brushes is decreased, and also to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The armature of a motor comprises: a core 112 having a plurality of teeth 112a; a main winding portion 114 continuously having three winding portions 41-43 wound, respectively, around three teeth groups consisting of four teeth by a predetermined number of turns; a transient wires 44 and 45 extending from the winding portions 41 and 43 and connected with two predetermined segments, and intermediate transient wires 46 and 47 for connecting between the winding portions 41 and 42 and between the winding portions 42 and 43, without connecting with a segment to be connected, when each winding portion, is connected separately with the segment; and a short circuit member 151 for connecting a predetermined segment connected with each transient wire and a segment connected with each winding portion at the same potential.
