<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium storage container and an image forming apparatus capable of reducing the size, capable of securing sufficient strength in a connecting part of a tray part and a grip part, and capable of improving quality on an appearance. <P>SOLUTION: In this paper feeding cassette 3, a connecting mechanism for connecting the tray part 5 and the grip part 6 has a fitting part K1 composed of a cylindrical projection 18 and a cylindrical projection 16A, a fitting part K2 composed of a cylindrical projection 19 and a cylindrical projection 17A, and a fixing part H, by a plurality of places.
