PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excess high temperature of a CPU caused by heat generation of a drive circuit so as to stabilize control operation by an actuator, in an actuator drive unit in which the drive circuit and a control circuit (CPU) are integrally housed. SOLUTION: The actuator drive unit 30 comprises: drive elements 41 supplying operating energy of the actuator 10; the CPU 50 controlling the drive elements 41; and a temperature sensor 60 detecting the temperature of the CPU. When the CPU temperature is increased, an operation mode of the actuator drive unit 30 is set to be a power-saving mode in which consumption energy in the actuator 10 is reduced compared with that in normal times.
