The deviation amount in a period when the variation of the deviation amount with time exceeds the allowable maximum value is preferably eliminated and not used for droplet-impact correction. The deviation amount used for droplet-impact correction may be switched on the basis of the difference in the deviation amount of the droplet-impact measured before and after the maintenance operation of a maintenance section 102. Generally, the deviation amount of the droplet-impact is measured by a high-speed measurement mode to correct droplet-impact.
