<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate protective film which ensures less variation in retardation values and has excellent stability to deterioration of a polarizer, dimensions of a polarizing plate and curl of the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: A cellulose ester film is provided wherein in-plane retardation Ro and through-thickness retardation Rth of the film represented by expressions: Ro=(nx-ny)×d, Rth=ä(nx+ny)/2-nz}×d in an environment at 23°C and 55% RH are 0 to 2 nm and -15 nm≤Rth≤10 nm, respectively, and an Ro variation and an Rth variation in an environment at 50°C and the same dew point are within 2 nm and within 10 nm, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
