PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically clamping a lid or releasing it, in a clamp mechanism of a gravity type mixing device comprising a conveyance and storage container which is elevatably and rotatably supported, an elevating device of the container, a rotating device for rotating the container, the lid detachably mounted on the container, the clamp mechanism for clamping the lid to the container, and an agitating blade fixed to the lid and hung from the lid in the container. SOLUTION: This clamp mechanism is equipped with a bracket 32 pivoted by a shaft 16 to a mounting fitting 31 fixed to the lid 4, a rod 37 pivoted to the bracket 32 by a pivot 35, a U-shaped fitting 39 connected to an end of the rod 37 by a stepped pin 38 and disengageably engaged with a hook fitting 14 fixed to the container 2, a guide plate 46 equipped with a vertical hole 47 to which the stepped pin 38 is fitted, a guide fitting 49 equipped with an arcuate guide groove 51 to which a pin 48 integral with the U-shaped fitting 39 is fitted, and an air cylinder 33 attached to the lid 4 and connected to the bracket 32 for rotating the bracket 32.
