<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively producing myocardial cells in a high ratio, and a differentiation induction accelerator for accelerating the selective differentiation induction from stem cells to the myocardial cells. <P>SOLUTION: The stem cells are cultured in the presence of sFRP-1 or sFRP-2 in a differentiation-inducing period. The differentiation-inducing period may be either an embryoid-forming period or equivalent period of the embryoid-forming period, or at least for one day after forming a mesoderm without passing through the embryoid and until being differentiation-induced to the myocardial cells. The sFRP-1 or sFRP-2 can induce the differentiation from the stem cells to myocardial cells by a higher ratio than those of known differentiation-inducing factors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
