A height-adjustable desk with a simple yet stable structure is provided to help any one to easily maintain and repair and to adjust the height of the desk freely with a little force(physical power). A height-adjustable desk includes a vertical motion driving unit(50) that is constituted of a pair of worm gear housings(51,53), a power connecting piece(55) for connecting worm gears built in the worm gear housings to be separated from each other, and a ratchet gear(57) for providing forward and backward rotation forces. The worm gears are connected to an axial line of the power connecting piece and engaged with rack gears, so that a driving power generated from the vertical motion driving unit is transferred to the rack gears via the worm gears to move inner frames(33,43) in a vertical direction.
