PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens device assembly method for assembling a lens device even if the method separates a lens assembly stage and a substrate attaching stage. SOLUTION: The lens device assembly method includes: the lens assembly stage to assemble a lens unit equipped with a lens barrel having funnel-like outside appearance that the diameter of a front lens barrel is larger than that of a rear lens barrel, a lens frame for holding a lens, a screw and substrate fixing pillar screwed in the lens frame so as to screw the lens frame in the lens barrel, and a movable ring rotatably attached to the rear lens barrel and provided with a notch at a position where it interferes with the screw and substrate fixing pillar; the substrate attaching stage to insert the movable ring to pass through the aperture of a substrate where a driving mechanism for driving and rotating the movable ring is mounted and the aperture nearly in the same shape as the movable ring is formed and then to seat and fix the part corresponding to the notch out of the periphery of the aperture thereof on the tip of the screw and substrate fixing pillar; and a gear attaching stage to fix a ring gear to be coupled to the driving mechanism on the movable ring after the movable ring is inserted to pass through the aperture.
