PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooking stove having a completely novel design to innovate on conventional image of the gas cooking stove. SOLUTION: This gas cooking stove comprises two cylindrical burners 2a, 2b linearly opposite to each other in parallel with a long side of a top surface of a cooking stove 1, a first operating portion 3 having the shape of a knob for adjusting fire power, and a second operating portion 4 and a second operating portion 5 respectively having the shape of a slide lever to change an ignition area. Both burners have a plurality of burner ports linearly arranged, an exposed area of the burner ports of the burner 2a or 2b is changed by operating the second operating portion 4 or the second operating portion 5 by an operator, thus the ignition area of a heated area 2 is changed.
