PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical glass with a high refractive index and low dispersion having≥1.75 refractive index (nd) and≥35 Abbe number (νd), and hardly suffering from influence of imaging characteristic due to temperature variation of use environment. SOLUTION: The optical glass realizing productα×βof an average linear expansion coefficientαfor -30°C to +70°C and an opto-elastic constantβat 546.1 nm wavelength of≤130×10<SP>-12</SP>°C×nm×cm<SP>-1</SP>×Pa<SP>-1</SP>is obtained by containing SiO<SB>2</SB>, B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and La<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>as essential components and adjusting the ratio between the structural components.
