<p>A control apparatus and a method for a system air conditioner are provided to enable automatic control of the system air conditioner by collecting real-time weather data using web service, thereby creating a comfortable indoor climate for the user. A control apparatus for a system air conditioner comprises a local gateway(100), a UDDI(Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration) server, a web server(120), and a plurality of central control units(130). The local gateway is capable of managing/monitoring/controlling entire data of the air conditioner through the central control units connected to a network. The UDDI server is capable of searching web service information from web service servers on the web, registering and storing the information. The web server is connected to the local gateway and is capable of searching services on the UDDI server for collecting weather data and transporting it to the local gateway. The plurality of central control units directly control each air conditioner connected to the network according to control command transported from the local gateway.</p> |
