METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECEIVING REMOTE CONTROL SIGNAL USING INTERVAL OF GENERATED INTERRUPT

A method for receiving a remote control signal by using an interrupt occurrence interval and a system thereof are provided to reduce abuse of ports of a system like an MCU or a microprocessor to which a remote control signal receipt system is connected by making it possible to read out a remote control signal in real time though using one port of a signal receipt unit. A system for receiving a remote control signal by using an interrupt occurrence interval comprises an interrupt generator(201), an interval measuring unit(202) and a signal reading unit(203). The interrupt generator(201) generates interrupts in case that a signal with a set waveform is received from a signal receiver(204). The interval measuring unit(202) measures the interrupt occurrence interval at the interrupt generator(201). The signal reading unit(203) checks whether a received signal is a remote control signal by using the measured interrupt interval. If so, reads out information included in the remote control signal by using the measured interrupt interval.
