PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge capable of accurately specifying a type of a disk-shaped information medium accommodated in a cartridge body. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge is configured so as to accommodate an optical disk 9 (disk-shaped information medium) in the cartridge body 2 with an upper shell 4 and a lower shell 3, and configured by forming a disk type specifying concave part 16 at an edge of a leading end side in an insertion direction (direction of an arrow I) of the lower shell 4. The disk type specifying concave part 16 is formed in the length such that the length (width) orthogonal to the insertion direction, the length of the insertion direction, and the length (depth) in a thickness direction of the cartridge body 2 correspond to the type of the optical disk 9, respectively.
