摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submerged arc welding method of a thick steel plate, a method by which a high quality weld zone with little weld defects can be obtained by effectively reducing welding heat input while securing a conventional penetration depth. SOLUTION: In multiple electrode submerged arc welding method using three or more electrodes, a wire having a diameter≤3.2 mm is used as a first and a second electrode, of which a flux cored wire is applied at least to the first electrode. Also, a DC constant voltage regulated power unit is used for the supply of electricity to the first electrode, with a current density of≥130 A/mm<SP>2</SP>at a current≥700 A. Meantime, an AC power unit is used for the supply of electricity to the second electrode, with welding performed under the conditions of a current density of≥95 A/mm<SP>2</SP>.
