PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio receiver with an AD converter in which a circuit size and consumption power which are mainly used for communication of a modulated signal in an orthogonal frequency division modulation (OFDM) whose peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is large are reduced. SOLUTION: The radio receiver 100 prepares: a plurality of units for converting received analog signals to digital signals; AD converters 18, 20 which can change a tone number of outputs by selecting an operating unit out of the plurality of units; and a receiving signal level calculating unit 25 which is connected to the AD converters 18, 20, and calculates a receiving signal level based on output digital signals from the AD converters 18, 20.
