<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific amino acid substitution of a human glycoprotein hormone, producing a human glycoprotein hormone analogue showing the large increase of both in vitro and in vivo biological activities. <P>SOLUTION: The homology and similarity of the amino acid sequence of highly active glycoprotein hormone homologue originated from a different kind of organism are analyzed to judge a site and a substituted amino acid which are estimated to be effective.
