<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system in which electrolysis of water is carried out without deteriorating an electrolyte film in the case of fuel shortage, and a driving method of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system (100) is provided with the fuel battery cell (10) including a solid polymer electrolyte film and an anode catalyst layer provided with a water electrolysis catalyst, transportation means (32, 50) to transport water of an oxygen electrode of the fuel battery cell to a fuel electrode side, a water content detecting means (35) to detect the water content of the solid polymer electrolyte film, and a control means (60) to control the transportation means based on a detection result of the water content detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
