A rotatable roaster using charcoal and a method of operating the same are provided to prevent meat from being burnt so as to roast meat evenly by controlling both speed and rotation of a motor with a time switch and a selection switch. A rotatable roaster using charcoal comprises a body(4), rotary shafts(13,13'), a chain(14), a motor(M), a trigger plate(15), a sensor(U1), a time switch(20), and a selection switch(10). The body is provided with a charcoal housing unit(7) and a roasting bar. The rotary shafts are connected with the roasting bar to rotate the roasting bar. The chain rotates the rotation units. The motor rotates the chain. The trigger plate is connected with the chain. The sensor is installed to one part on a moving route of the chain and then is in operation when the trigger plate passes by the sensor. The time switch is connected with the sensor to turn on and off the motor during a predetermined time when the sensor is in operation. The selection switch is mounted between the motor and the time switch to regulate the time switch. |
