A speed responsive damper and an impact absorbing damper device are provided to prevent a piston rod from being tilted even if a load applied to the piston rod is suddenly changed. A speed responsive damper(10) comprises a cylinder(11) filled with fluid, a piston(13) slidably fitted into the cylinder and formed with an orifice(19a) through which the fluid passes, and a piston rod(14) having one end fixed to the piston and the other end extended to the outside of the cylinder. A slider(15) is disposed in the cylinder and movable in a predetermined range relative to the piston to regulate the amount of fluid passing through the piston. The orifice is formed at the end of the piston, so that explosive noise of air is lowered.
