PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device and electronic equipment, in which a display panel stored in a frame is prevented from being floated. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device 1 is provided with a display panel 100 and a frame 300 for storing the display panel 100 so as to surround at least the outer surface of the display panel 100. On the inner surface of the frame 300, a projection 30 having a surface inclined from the outer surface of the display panel 100 is formed on a position opposed to the outer surface of the display panel 100, and when the projection 30 presses the outer surface of the display panel 100 stored in the frame 300, the display panel 100 is fixed to the frame 300.
